Mersing

Mersing is a coastal town east of Johor and the main gateway to Pulau Tioman and other tourist islands of the Seribuat Archipelago, such as Pulau Pemanggil, Pulau Besar and Pulau Aur. While known mostly for its ferry services, the town does offer its own rustic charm, with a large number of traditional restaurants and cafes to entertain taste buds, pleasant riverside scenery, and even its own beach along the waterfront - with more sandy stretches off town such as Penyabung and Air Papan. Being well-developed, Mersing offers a great deal of conveniences and facilities, including electrical stores, fast food outlets, supermarkets, phone shops, banks and clinics.
